A bee can carry 40 -50 mg of honey in his stomach, but 70% of honey is consumed for 3 km of flight in order to offset the energy for his body. That is the reason why bees are located near the source of honey. In order to have one tablespoon of honey (30gram), 200 bees have to collect honey all day. And storing honey in the 75 holes of beehive they need 1 gram of beeswax.
If bee colony weighs 3 kg, only 40-50% of bees participate in collecting honey. Everytime collecting honey, amount of these bees collect 500 grams of honey for their beehives. A number of remain bees are busy with feeding larvae, building hive, producing honey and other tasks.

Bees are the champion of smell, they feel and distinguish odors stronger 1,000 times than humans. They smell the fragrance of flowers at a distance of more than 1 km.
